RĂSA, in Sanskrit, means "nectar": the pure, sweet essence that makes life truly beautiful and deeply meaningful. To me, however, RĂSA is far more personal and heartfelt.
"RA" is for my father, Rakesh, a man whose gentle strength, unwavering integrity, and quiet guidance continue to inspire me daily, even though he left us in 2015, before this journey began. Yet, I feel his presence vividly, always smiling down from above, proud of every step taken.
"SA" honours my mother, Santosh, whose unconditional love, kindness, and the gentle warmth she radiates make her truly irreplaceable. She embodies life's sweetest nectar, her affection constantly enriching and uplifting my spirit.
Having established Chakra Lounges, each reflecting my deep love for Indian fusion cuisine, you may wonder: Why RASA, and why now?
Travelling through vibrant cities around the world, I've always been captivated by minimalist, thoughtfully designed cafés; calm spaces that nurture simplicity and quiet joy. Much like bringing home small souvenirs from these journeys, RĂSA is my heartfelt souvenir, a token of gratitude dedicated lovingly to my hometown, Buxton.
For me, the name RĂSA captures everything my parents mean to me: the sweetness, the depth, the essence of unconditional love. It's a tribute, a thank you, and a constant reminder of what matters most in life.
